   Hi Shina,

   This type song is generally called a Geet. Although Nusrat was a Qawwali performer/composer, he could do excellent Geets and Ghazals as well due to his massive music knowledge and his relegious emotions.

   I suggest to listening to his Qawwali’s as well, there are 13 short audio clips in Audio Gallery.
