After the death of Nusrat, a shear need of retaining his work was felt. The brush strokes of his voice, which had painted a fabulus collection of master pieces, has been recorded by: the Music Industry in the form of CDs or cassettes and the Qawwali lovers in their hearts, where every face of his voice echos deep inside the soul.
Some of the concert recordings are rare and are not available at all. Also a lot of variations of his songs are available, because he used to go according to the mood and the moment, which made every of his performance a unique one. Hence, a very need was felt to collect these master pieces to preserve them for the comming generations and to pass this heritage on, along with all of the richness and beauty of the genius playing and maneuvering with the voice, intact.
The basic idea was originated by Talha. He discussed it with his friend Irfan, and as a result this site came into being. This site is a joint venture of Talha Synth Labs and NeoSense Inc.
The main object of this project is to collect every single thing related to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and make that available on the web for the world. Currently we are collecting articles, interviews, pictures, videos and any other form of material related to the legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

How wonderful it is to see this long needed tribute to the one of the greatest voices this world will ever see.
There is not a day that goes by when I do not listen to his voice. In times of happiness, sadness, turmoil, ecstasy and need; it is his voice as the wings for the words of sufis that speak to my heart as no other.
I am continually growing my collection of music and videos of him. I would love to assist you in any translation of Qawwalis as I am proficient in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Farsi.
Once again, I congratulate you on developing this tribute to a great man that will continue to haunt living souls with his voice as long as the world exists.

Yo, he is sick, best man, my fav singer,yo, man is king of the musiq, no one better then him.
Even though i dont understand him but yo man has shown the world how to sing.
fuk all these new singer but man, man is sick no words to describe him, yo keep the good work up let’s show the world, who is the best. me will be going to his city, watch i will go to his grave and cry, and ask him why did he left us. man like him should be treted with respect from the heart. Ive been listening to nfak since i was 10 i am now 24 i have hundreds of cassettes and cds and dvds. in his field of qawwali he was the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be. i cant see any other qawwli singer beating him.
my father use 2 litsen his casetes when iwas teen ageiwas not interested that time but when igrow up one day i litsened his song very carfuly ifelt it like it was running in my body,my father still love him like all we do the good thing we must do for him is 2 pray 4 him in every salat this us how we can pay him our love &rispakt just rais ur hands with me now & say Allah onahi janat atta farma.

I saw a few translations in here. It would be really nice if somebody can work on English translations of nusrat saab’s work. I do not understand urdu. But I understand that his works carry supreme meaning and I would certainly like to know more. If somebody could volunteer…

Anybody knows, who wrote qawwali “tum ik gorakh dhanda ho”.
Nobody knows answer to this simple question. Brothers, it was written by a Sufi poet “Naz Khialvi”. Naaz khialvi is an excellent, big of the big poets of Pakistan. But unfortunately he has no lust of fame. He is above 55 but still unmarried. Poetry is his love, his life and wife. If u want to contact him, write him on this address……

I am glad that you have started this project. I have been listening to NFAK for the last 20 years and I know I will continue to do so till the day I die. He mesmerises me .. his voice, so gravelly sometimes and then so smooth, his passion which is so contagious, his amazing musical talent..all others can only aspire to what he has achieved. God makes only one of these rare, special kind of people…I don’t think there will ever be another qawwal to match his prowess.
as the people say about sahib they are all right. N.sahib was the greatest singer on this world. no other singer take place at sahib’s place. sahib’s voice is touching heart voice. it joint the man with God. they who never listien n.sahib are meaningless on this world. ilove nusrat sahib. they never die. they are always in my heart and soul. sahib’s few lines are:

There is a verstion of one of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali’s qawalis “Yadaan vichray sajjan diyyan diyaan ayaan”, which is about 30 minutes or so long. One can find a much shorter version of it on internet but not that loger version. I believe that it is one of the best qawalis of Ustad. Can you please find and put it on your webpage. I would be obliged.

Nusrat is a genious, a master… probably nothing in my vocabulary is enough to describe this legend. I am thankful to god for letting me part of the same era, an era of legend called Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, enchanting this earth with his vocals.
One artist that I miss most. I feel like visiting his grave to pay my tribute to him. For me, he is god of music and his grave is temple of music.
Thanks to site owners for their effort to preserve his work which is truly truly essential. I hope some one is taking care of his grave, while Maestro rests in peace in heaven.
