This is a true spellbinder. The whole gang is at their peak, with Dildar Hussain dominating the whole scene with his explosive Tabla rhythms.
Nusrat molds few words from the lyrics into a new form at 0:12 and provides a high energy platform to the team to exercise their stunts. This specifc portion of the performance is rare and does not exist in his studio recordings.
Some amazing musical tricks can be seen at around 0:46, 0:55 and 3:07, where Nusrat beautifuly injects dangerous flat and sharp versions of the allowed notes at extremely dangerous locations of the rhythm, where a difference of a split second could ruin the whole performance.
This alternation of notes is allowed in Indian music on notes other than Sa and Pa, and is mainly used to add tension by introduction of unexpected pitches. This use of flat and sharp notes is difficult and has to be properly used at right timings to provide a meaningful impact.
Nusrat is amazingly injecting these altered notes for a fraction of second at the extreme end of rhythm beats, where he does not have much time left to return to normal pitch, which is required at the begining of the next beat.
Its truly awesome how Nusrat is doing all that at an incredibley high speed with the razor sharp timings!
Finally, in the portion from 4:44 till the end, the whole gang is at their peak, with Farukh Fateh pumping the storm out of harmonium, the team suplementing Dildar with their claps, and Rahat being totally out of control.

this indeed is a true masterpiece. i have this album with me and believe me it makes you go mad. you want to cry and laugh at the same time. people don’t understand the lyrics but still dance to the music.
